The world’s largest automaker has made an announcment that it will begin selling fuel cell vehicles (FCV) sarting Dec 15 in Japan, and Mid-2015 in Europe & US. Although only a couple of hundred will be sold to the market, it will be a significant sign of progress and innovation which is something highly valued at the company. Toyota will be taking a first small step into the unproven market for emission-free, hydrogen powered vehicles which are instead of being recharged, can be refueled with hydrogen. These cars will be somewhere near harmless if refueled using renewable energy. With this high price, will Fuel Cell Vehicles be the answer to the world’s petroleum crises?
